Research Project: Using Monte Carlo Ray-Tracing to calculate (simulate) radiation heat flux in Pool Fire
I am currently working on Monte Carlo Ray-Tracing Model to calculate a Cylindrical or Cubical Geomety's heat flux on its surfaces, and the divergence of heat flux in the media.
The media is participating media, which will attenuate (by scattering, absorbing) or augment (be emission) radiation of the ray when it travels through it. I am doing this by mesh the surfacs and the whole domain.
I will soon work on the property models to get appropriate properties (absorption coeff, scattering coeff, reflection coeff, etc) for each element (surface element, and volume element), and complare my simulation results with Benchmark cases.
