The Institute for Clean and Secure Energy (ICSE) cordially invites you to attend the 2011 University of Utah Unconventional Fuels Conference. The conference will be held Tuesday, May 17, in the Varsity Room (Level 6) of Rice-Eccles Stadium on the University of Utah campus. This year's conference will focus on the technical, industrial, policy, and environmental issues relevant to the production of liquid transportation fuels from oil sands, oil shale and coal in the western U.S. The conference will include presentations from invited speakers and an exhibit by the Utah Geological Survey (UGS) of the Skyline 16 oil shale core, which was obtained in May 2010 as a joint venture between UGS and ICSE.
A field trip to the Uinta Basin will be held on May 18-19 in conjunction with the conference. For information regarding the field trip or if you would like to register for it, please go to the Uinta Basin Field Trip tab.
The conference registration fee through May 3, 2011 is $40. This fee includes parking, admittance to all sessions, continental breakfast, and a buffet lunch. After May 3, 2011, the registration fee increases to $50 per person. On-site registration will be available at the conference.
