Two-Stage Burner

A two-stage burner system allows for the study of soot oxidation. In this system, the primary burner generates soot in a fuel-rich premixed flame, and the secondary burner oxidatizes the soot from the primary burner. This burner system employs a differential mobility analyzer to segregate particle size, and it can elucidate the effect of oxidation on particle size distribution.
